Running Man was a band project of the guitarist Ray Russell. Before he played with Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames, Rock Workshop and Nucleus. They realised one self-titled album in 1972 which offers an interesting mixture of heavy rock and blues, harsh rock singing and jazzy improvisations. It was also the last album of the Neon sub-label of RCA. This record was poorly sold and it is therefore a sought-after worldwide rarity.
After disbanding right after Russell had a short engagement for Graham Bond and formed another short-living group called Mouse (with the now rare album Lady Killer in 1973).
